Australia’s emergency cabinet on coronavirus will consider restricting the number of its citizens and residents returning home from abroad, Prime Minister Scott Morrison cited as per Reuters
The Prime Minister has said that there are no plans to re-impose restrictions across the country, after Victoria, the
country’s second-most populous state, enforced stay-at-home rules in metropolitan Melbourne and one regional area due to a spike in infections.
Meanwhile, with millions preparing for a return to virus lockdown in Melbourne, terrified shoppers stripped store shelves, AFP reported. Australia’s largest supermarket chain, Woolworths, said it re-imposed buying limits on items including pasta, vegetables and sugar after shoppers rushed to shops across the state of Victoria.
