After Shah Rukh Khan’s appearance in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as Aishwarya’s ex-husband, it seems like the two actors will not be sharing any screen space for a while. The former Miss World has allegedly turned down a film that would’ve starred her opposite King Khan.

Apparently, the Umrao Jaan actress wasn’t much swayed by the script. “Aishwarya has turned down several offers as she wants to be really sure about the projects she wants to sign. She was offered a project opposite Shah Rukh Khan and, while she is very keen to collaborate with him again, the script was not convincing enough for her,” a source told Pinkvilla.

Before Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the pair was last seen in Devdas together, which was a portrayal of a beautiful love story with immense chemistry, considered as one of their best performances by many.
Aishwarya is currently gearing up for the Atul Manjarekar directorial Fanney Khan. The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles and is scheduled for release in April 2018.

Aishwarya will also reportedly star in the remake of 1973’s Abhimaan, opposite actor husband Abhishek Bachchan. The two will portray the roles of characters played by Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in the original.

Alternatively, Bollywood’s ‘Baadshah’ is currently shooting for Aanand L Rai’s untitled film where he is set to play a double role, one of which is a dwarf.
He will be romancing Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-star Katrina Kaif and Jab Harry Met Sejal co-actor Anushka Sharma in the movie. It is anticipated for a Christmas 2018 release.
