KARACHI: The police claimed to have arrested on Sunday a man for lying about the presence of an explosive device at the Sindh High Court (SHC).
The bomb threat, that later turned out to be a hoax, sent the entire SHC into a state of panic on Friday after the police received an anonymous call on its helpline, Madadgar 15. The caller told the police that a bomb had been planted at the high court’s premises and would go off any time.

According to the police, an investigation to trace the caller began following the bomb hoax and the caller was later arrested. The suspect, Pir Buksh, son of Imam Buksh, was arrested during a raid conducted in Sawan Goth in Gadap Town.
