Deepak Perwani’s “Bahaar” focused on the arrival of spring and the festive season of weddings as a huge part of our culture, giving us a glimpse of royalty. On the other hand, “The Mughal Empresses” by Wardha Saleem took us back to the classic era and showcased the secret colours of love, celebration and traditions. Blending bright hues with traditional block printing and intricate embellishments, the “Mughal Empresses” aimed to show that the true spirit of celebration lies within vibrant colours and rich jamawars and organza.

Humayun Alamgir’s “Naqsh-o-Nigar” was inspired by the Maharajas of the sub-continent, crafted with luxurious styles made with velvet and banarsi brocade. The sherwanis portrayed a fusion of sophistication and dynamism with rich colours making it elegantly modern.

“Mumtaz Mahal” by Shazia Kiyani focused on the life of queen Mumtaz. While sticking to the traditional colour palette of red and gold, Shazia still managed to deliver modern cuts inspired by the Mughal era, rich with eastern culture and classic silhouettes.

The fashion show was then followed by a gala dinner.
