After already grasping their claim over the series by winning the first three ODIs against Australia, England would have hoped for a strong start in the 4th ODI in Adelaide. But it was Australia who fired the first shot by winning the toss and electing to field first. Coming in to bat, England went on to have a horrible start, losing both their openers for a duck with Josh Hazlewood breathing fire with the new ball. Pat Cummins went on to struck soon after cleaning up Alex Hales stumps as the right-handed batsman departed for 3. Joe Root, who has been excellent in the series so far, soon departed too on a duck, with Cummins getting his second wicket in the match. Hazlewood struck once more in his third over, getting the very dangerous Jos Buttler out for another duck as England succumbed to 8/5. Skipper Eoin Morgan and Moeen Ali stitched a partnership of 53 runs before the former became a victim to Cummins and got caught behind. Chris Woakes, who played a late cameo, once again started piling boundaries and build another 50-run stand with Moeen Ali. But Ali departed succumbed to a short ball from Andrew Tye and played a mistimed pull that went straight to Travis Head, who caught it cleanly near the boundary ropes. 1000 hrs IST: England with a small recovery here. Morgan and Moeen have taken their team to 35 for 5 after 15 overs. Australia will like to bowl them out as soon as possible and not waste what was a terrific start for them

0907 hrs IST: WICKET! Australia on fire in Adelaide! Cummins with a dream delivery to castle Alex Hales. Bowled’im! England are suddenly 4 for 2. It nips back into Hales. He is pressing forward to play the shot but it takes a feather off the the pad before hitting the off-stump

0900 hrs IST: England have to rebuild here but they Alex Hales and Bairstow at the crease so it won’t be difficult if they keep things simple. Both can bat for long. Pat Cumming and Hazlewood bowling in tandem for Australia.

0845 hrs IST: Australia have rested Mitchell Starc for this game as Andrew Tye gets another game for Australia. England bring in Curran for the injured Liam Plunkett. No other change in both teams.

0830 hrs IST: Australia have won the toss and captain Steve Smith has elected to field at the Adelaide Oval. They have lost the series but they will try to break England’s winning streak.

England have won the series. Australia are searching for their first win. The two meet again for the fourth ODI of the series and while England will look to continue their juggernaut, Australia will like to break it. The fourth ODI is expected to be another exciting one.
