NORTH CALORINA: A man celebrating his birthday in a Facebook Live stream ‘accidentally’ filmed the moment he was shot dead on a street in North Calorina.
The victim, who was identified by authorities as Prentis Robinson, musician by profession, was using a selfie stick to record himself as he made his way down a road in Wingate, North Carolina on Monday.
Unaware of the gun-wielding man making his way towards him, Mr Robinson can be heard talking about his desire to move from Charlotte to Atlanta.
The 55-year-old’s attention suddenly turns towards the armed man, where he can be seen telling him “you on live, you on live” over and over again before the first of four gunshots is fired.
Police confirmed that he later died on the scene, just one block away from the local police station.
His murderer remains on the run.
‘We’re pursuing leads and trying to figure out what this is all about,” Union County Sherriff spokesman Tony Underwood told local media.
“It’s very concerning that just a block away from the police department, that something like this would happen,” Wingate Police Chief Donnie Gay added.
