Pakistan’s 36-year-old Irfan, left-arm fast bowler creates history by bowling the most economical 4-over spell ever bowled in a Twenty20 match, playing for Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League – but it wasn’t enough to get his team over the line against St Kitts and Nevis.
The Pakistani bowler successfully took two wickets and conceded just one run from his four overs against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Bridgetown on Saturday.

Irfan bowled 23 dot balls and just gave a single off his 24th and final delivery of his 4-over spell, finishing with the figures of 4-3-1-2. His victims included the renowned hitters Chris Gayle as well as Evin Lewis.
Irfan also surpasses the previous 4-over best economy rate of 0.5 bowled by Chris Morris for the Cape Cobras in South Africa’s Ram Slam in November 2014, and by Chanaka Welegedara for Tamil Union in Sri Lanka in April 2015, Irfan’s economy rate of 0.25 was better than the duo.
