None of 80s and 90s kids can forget Afshan Ahmad, the singer behind songs like Dosti Aesa Nata, and Meray Bachpan Key Din.
The singer who started her career at a very young age from PTV’s Hamari Shaam, a children’s programme was all grace when she attended ARY News’ Independence day show ‘Shukriya Pakistan’ as a judge.
The host Waseem Badami couldn’t stop himself from requesting the legendary singer to sing a national song and she opted for the classic ‘Jug Jug Jiye Mera Pyara Watan’

As a young singer, Afshan is also remembered for her participation in Sohail Rana’s popular children’s programmes Kaliyon Ki Mala and Hum Sooraj Chand Sitaray.
