The former Disney star, Nick Jonas has arrived in India Thursday night with his family for an apparent engagement ceremony on Saturday! The alleged groom landed at the Mumbai airport with his parents in tow last night.
Nick’s parents, mother Denise and father Kevin Jonas Sr, were seen carrying a Tiffany & Co packet, supposed to be a gift for bride-to-be, reported media.
The couple’s whirlwind romance has taken the showbiz world by storm. The two have remained tight-lipped about their alleged engagement for the most part but recently, when a fan congratulated the 25-year-old singer on his engagement, he graciously responded, “Thanks, man.”
There is a wild rumor that the Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is all set to host a party at her residence this weekend and preps are already underway.
The couple got engaged in July after a whirlwind romance of two months. The Jealous singer had famously closed down a Tiffany store in London to buy the perfect engagement ring for his bride-to-be.
This is the first formal meeting between Priyanka and Nick’s families. However, the singer’s brothers Kevin, Joe and Frankie Jonas were not seen with Nick and his parents. According to a report, they will be arriving later today.
A source has disclosed that this meeting will also include an engagement party. “Priyanka has sent out messages to close friends and family members to set aside time on August 18 for a party,” the source said.
Earlier, Priyanka had told People magazine about Nick’s maiden trip to India, “We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him. That’s what he said. I think he really enjoyed it. It was really beautiful. He had a great time.”
While Priyanka had refused to comment on her engagement, Nick gave a low-key acceptance when he thanked a fan who congratulated him.
Nick and Priyanka met at the Met Gala last year but a romance blossomed in May earlier when the two were seen spending time together in Los Angeles. Priyanka was also seen accompanying Nick to his cousin’s wedding and to concerts in Singapore and Brazil.
