ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, which has emerged as the single largest party in the July 25 elections, expressed gratitude to Mr. Recep Tayyap Erdogan in Turkish language about his phone call to the party chief Imran Khan.
The posts came after Erdogan congratulated Khan over the phone on Tuesday, calling his leadership an example for the Islamic world.
“President Erdogan congratulated Imran Khan over the phone,” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) wrote on its official Twitter account.
“He [Erdogan] stressed the importance of further promoting ties between Turkey and Pakistan,” it wrote in Turkish language.
“Imran Khan also thanked President Erdogan for his sentiments,” it added.
The posts have been retweeted and liked hundreds of times, while Pakistani users responded to the posts in Turkish language and expressed their love for Turkey.
In the July 25 elections, the PTI, which emerged as the single largest party but now seeking support of other candidates to reach the numbers required to form the government.
