
KARACHI: The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) on Saturday refuted reports about the demise of Dr Adib Rizvi.
The SIUT director in a statement said a totally false and fabricated news is being circulated on social media, claiming the demise of Professor Adib Rizvi. “SIUT denies this baseless news. There is no iota of truth in the messages that are being circulated.”
The statement read: “SIUT is contemplating legal action under the Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, Section 18, for spreading false news against a person. Law enforcing agencies are to take punitive steps against such people that damage the iconic and respect personality of Pakistan.”
This is to inform that a totally False and Fabricated news is being circulated on social media and text messages about the demise of Professor Adib Rizvi – Director SIUT.

The SIUT director appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar to take a suo motu notice of such “heinous” acts of cyber defamation and order the authorities concerned to bring the perpetrators to book.
