He announced this Saturday on his Twitter account: “The being until now known as Kanye West, I am YE”.
Some time ago, West, 41, is known by the nickname of Ye, which he used as the title of his eighth album, released in the month of June.
In addition to being a diminutive of his current professional name, West had previously explained that the word has a religious meaning for him.
“I think ‘ye’ is the word most used in the Bible, and in the Bible it means’ you,” West said this year.
