LAHORE: Former Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq will not be part of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), sources close to the matter said.
Misbah, who captained the two-time PSL champions Islamabad United, has been with the franchise for all its last three seasons.
According to sources, talks are ongoing between the franchise and the 44-year-old for his next official role with them.
Islamabad United reportedly want to bring the former Pakistan captain onboard as a mentor for the team, the sources added.
The sources also informed that Tauseef Ahmed will no longer be part of the coaching staff, while former off-spinner Saeed Ajmal is likely to be added to the coaching staff.
The fourth edition of PSL will begin on February 14, 2019.
