‘Toxic’ fries in Hyderabad claims life of a 3-year-old kid, leaving the other 2-year-old in a critical condition

HYDERABAD: A 3-year-old minor boy Humayun died while his 2-year-old minor sister Aliza was rushed to a medical facility in critical condition, as they allegedly consumed sub-standard chips in area of Chandi Market, Hyderabad, authorities said, adding that four such restaurants have consequently been sealed.

As per details, Humayun lost his life while his Aliza fell unconscious after having substandard chips in Hyderabad’s area of Chandi Market.

Aliza was rushed to a medical facility for treatment in critical condition.

According to sources, the father of the children said his twins fell unconscious, after having alleged poisonous chips from the market.

Both were rushed to the hospital, but doctors advised Aliza to shift to another hospital, after death of Humayun, 3, he continued.

The father also alleged that there was negligence on the part of the hospital staff, who “didn’t wash son’s stomach”.

The doctors commented that the children had fallen sick after consuming “something toxic”.

On the other hand, Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, the inspector-general (IG) of police for Sindh, has taken notice of the incident and directed the deputy inspector-general (DIG) and senior superintendent of police (SSP) for Hyderabad to launch an investigation.
