PM to chair Federal Cabinet meeting on Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday to deliberate on a 19-point agenda, ARY News reported on Monday.

The cabinet will likely to approve establishment of the social security and poverty alleviation division of the federal government in its session tomorrow.

The cabinet will also give its nod for the appointment of the new chief executive officer of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), according to sources.

The meeting will likely to extend the domestic and international licence of the Vision Air, sources said.

The cabinet will likely to take a decision about complete ban on telecasting the matches of Indian Premier League (IPL) in the country, sources said.

The policy on renewal of the licences of the cellular companies for the current year will also be a part of the business agenda of the cabinet session.

The meeting will review a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for promotion of cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the field of renewable energy, the sources said.

The cabinet will discuss a report on alleged irregularities in the construction of Islamabad Airport.

It will likely to decide about transfer of the budget of the former Fata region to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its meeting.

The cabinet will endorse a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Auditor General offices of Pakistan and Malaysia.

The federal cabinet session will also endorse appointment of three members of the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC), the sources said.
