As many as 13 people died and more than 150 injured in sectarian strife that broke out in India’s capital New Delhi, according to a hospital official.
Rajesh Kalra, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital official, said that 13 deaths have been confirmed and at least 150 people have come to their hospital with injuries. He added that a dozen people were in serious condition.
The riots, the worst in Delhi since turbulence over a new citizenship law started in December, began at the weekend but turned lethal on Monday.
