According to a senior hospital official, at least five people lost their lives and around 90 sustained injuries in clashes in the Indian capital New Delhi during protests over a new citizenship law.
Scores of people protested for and against a new citizenship law rampaged for quite a few hours ahead of US President Donald Trump’s first visit to the city.
There was a high alert in parts of the city and schools remained closed in some areas. At least five metro stations in the city were shut.
