The Sindh government has announced the suspension of congregational prayers at mosques, including congregations on Friday, to ensure social distance in order to combat coronavirus outbreak.
Adviser to Sindh chief minister Barrister Murtaza Wahab said after consulting with clerics from all schools of thought the government had took the decision. “The Sindh government’s major decision,” he tweeted. “Only staff of mosques of maximum five people can offer prayers at mosques.”
Upon consulting with scholars from all schools of thought and medical experts, Wahab said the decision was implemented.
He urged the masses to obey the decision.
