In the wake of the massive increase in Covid-19 cases and a significant spike in deaths, the Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) highly recommended a total lockdown and divisional establishment of separate hospitals for patients with virus outbreak.
PDA President Dr. Amir Taj Khan said the province reported 83 country-wide 209 deaths, with the highest fatality rate of 5.7 per cent compared to the national 2.14 per cent.
He said it required a complete lockdown to force people to stay at home and implement social distancing or the health care system would fail and all health staff would end up infected with the virus.
