ISLAMABAD: After the novel coronavirus took 458 more lives in addition to infecting at least 26,853 more people in the last week alone, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases and associated deaths around the world rose over 100,000 and 2,000 on Sunday, respectively.
The Covid-19 tally confirmed cases had risen to 101,468 till Sunday evening, with 2,032 deaths. Sindh has detected 38,108 cases so far, followed by Punjab where there were 37,090 cases recorded, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirmed 13,487 cases and Balochistan found 6,516 positive cases. The federal capital has recorded 4,979 cases, 927 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 361 in AJK.
The federal government reviewed the guideline for the third time in the bleak situation and recommended that provincial governments take strict measures against those who do not wear masks in public places.
