The month of June has started with the identification of 1,402 new cases of coronavirus and 22 deaths in the province, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Monday, adding that this raised the number of cases of virus registered in the province to 29,647 and the death toll to 503.
Sharing information about Sindh’s pandemic scenario, Shah reported that 6,289 fresh samples were tested, resulting in 1,402 new cases – 22.3% of the samples. He added that the Sindh government has carried out 187,092 tests so far and has reported 29,647 cases.
Shah also revealed that there are currently 342 patients in critical condition, of which 71 are on ventilators.
