According to an AFP report based on official sources, the number of coronavirus cases registered worldwide has reached 30 million.
The bleak benchmark came as the WHO warned of Covid-19’s “alarming rates of transmission” across Europe.
The tallies, likely only represent a fraction of the overall infection number. Many countries just test symptomatic cases, or the most extreme ones. The U.S. has the top national figures followed by India and Brazil.
