Secondary schools will resume classes under strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) from today in the second phase of the reopening of educational institutions.
During a media briefing in Islamabad, Federal Education and Training Minister Shafqat Mehmood announced the decision to reopen middle-level classes in schools.
He said a week’s delay in enforcing the decision to further review the Covid-19 situation was decided by the Sindh government.
After observing the situation for the next week, the federal minister said the government would be able to make a decision to reopen primary schools.
In order to control the spread of the virus, he encouraged parents, students and teachers to adopt SOPs.
