ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Interior minister Ahsan Iqbal termed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s speech at the iconic Minar-i-Pakistan part of “2011 script.”
Taking it to Twitter, the minister said: “The speech was from 2011 script. A leader who has run a major province for five years still lectures, lectures, & lectures.”
His tweet was merely in response to PTI leader Dr Arif Alvi’s comment on the party chief’s “historic” speech.
However, shortly after the massive rally in Lahore, Dr Arif Alvi took to Twitter, saying: “This was by far the best speech of @ImranKhanPTI I have ever heard in the last 22 years. Came from his heart that bleeds for our beloved country.”
While addressing an enormous gathering at Minar-i-Pakistan on Sunday evening, Khan lays out a 11-point agenda in the hope to turn the country into ‘Naya Pakistan’.
He announced that obliteration of corruption, self-reliance, and provision of healthcare and education are top priorities of his party.
