PTI slams Sindh govt over Covid-19 measures

In the backdrop of an ongoing war of words between Pakistan’s governing Tehreek-i-Insaf and the Pakistan Peoples Party, the National Coordination Committee has postponed a lockdown decision for a day.

The difference of opinion on the issue of lockdown between Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Sindh government had been boiling for weeks, but it heated up on Sunday when PTI ministers publicly criticized the Sindh government and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in particular for his policies in the fight against Covid-19.

“Because of the Sindh government’s incompetence, the number of cases is rising,” Vawda said while addressing a press conference in Karachi. “The Sindh government needs to see what is happening in Hyderabad, Larkana and Jacobabad.”
