Special Assistant to the Health Prime Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the Resource Management System (RMS) of the government “would help to optimize resource allocation by building accountability for decision-makers at national and provincial level.”
In a series of tweets, the PM ‘s assistant said: “RMS is a real-time IT platform launched at NCOC yesterday to inform decision-makers about the availability/utilisation Covid-19 [high-dependence unit/ intensive care unit] beds, vents, etc. in 725 hospitals across the country.
“Diligent updating […] and its proper use by provincial authorities is the key to proactively monitor [the] availability of critical equipment required for severe/critical patients and will offload big hospitals in big cities of high patient inflow.”
He added: “At the moment this platform is accessible only to decision makers but we have plans to make it available to [the] public also in coming days.”
